hey guys, here is my plan for the HR stuff,

1) to examinate the capacity and efficiency expanding in waterloo.

2) examinate possible locations in the world that may fit RIM's expanding criteria,

3) analyze the possible problems occurred from the increase in human resources.

how's that sounds ? or do you want me to put something on it ?

by the way, i have plenty of resources on hand for the possible location thing. and i am now working on the waterloo area analysis. Also for the possible problems come with the expansion, a little brainstrom from the group would be nice.

Ps. i have some stuff for Joel and Greg, message me in msn or facebook to let me know how to give you the information.

  1. Looks good mate,
if you want to email it to me that would be best, just use my email.

Im working on a few things at the moment, and think im going to look into things like teh best rated universitys for tech and development and things like that, also i was thinking about how they currently operate at a 2:1 ratio of hardware:software and how we can adjust that ratio into our solutions and recommendations (3:2 or 4:3 or something to make it smaller or even just set an upper and lower boundary)

gotta dash im at work its a crazy week - i'll post some stuff here in the next day or two

  3. Hey Chak,

That sounds good as far as HR. It covers most of the things talked about in the toolkit...the only other thing to maybe look at it the morale (if R&D goes to other sites...how will Waterloo employees take the news)

I have gotten a fair amount on Finance...I'm just going to re-create the financial statements for different scenarios. Would I be able to get those ranking off of you as well...just for the marketing aspect...I sent Jo-Anne an e-mail today about marketing and how maybe I could talk about marketing the company to communities where a plant might go up...so I will see what she says.

I'm going to gather all of my thoughts and post my parts and what I am doing either later tonight or tomorrow morning.

    Talk to you later
